Highly rated speaking lessons

Students love these Spanish classes focused on conversational skills.

Hi there! I'm Carmen

I’m a native Spanish speaker from Spain. I also speak English and Portuguese, and I’m currently learning Italian.

Learning languages myself has shown me how challenging speaking can be — even when you know the grammar, finding the right words in real time isn’t always easy.

That’s why my focus is on helping you feel comfortable speaking, without overthinking or second-guessing every sentence.

In my lessons, conversation comes first. I’ll guide you, support you, and help you express yourself more naturally and confidently with each session.

There’s no pressure to be perfect — just space to improve, step by step. Because speaking a language isn’t about knowing more… it’s about using what you already know.

What to expect in class:

Each lesson revolves around a specific topic and is guided in a way that encourages you to start speaking right away. This is how our Spanish conversation sessions are typically structured:

  • Introductions & warm welcome

We begin with a friendly introduction round — your name, where you’re from, why you decided to join the lesson, etc. It’s an easy, relaxed way to break the ice and settle in.

  • Lesson focus & key language

I briefly outline what we’ll work on during the lesson: the type of vocabulary we’ll use, the grammar points we’ll naturally apply, and the communication skills you’ll develop throughout the session.

  • Warm-up questions

We ease into speaking with simple, engaging questions. This helps you get comfortable and start thinking in Spanish about the topic we will talk about.

  • Into the topic — varied activities

This is the core of the lesson. Through different conversational activities, you practice speaking in real situations and build confidence step by step.

  • Wrap-up & takeaways

We finish by reviewing the most important expressions from the session so you can remember them easily and start using them in your everyday Spanish.

Liza R.

I really enjoy my lessons with Carmen. The topics are interesting, the group is small enough that there’s always time for everyone, and I always feel comfortable asking questions when needed.

Online Spanish Conversation Classes for Beginners 3

Aoife O.

I had been using apps for almost a year but every time I tried to speak I would just freeze. Carmen is incredibly patient, her Spanish is very clear and easy to follow, and she never makes you feel judged.

Lukas F.

I moved to Spain as a language assistant, and my Spanish was very basic. I was too shy to speak with people outside work. Carmen’s classes gave me the confidence I needed to truly enjoy my time in Spain.

Frequently asked questions

It’s completely normal to have questions before booking, so in this section you’ll find the most frequently asked questions about my online Spanish speaking classes. If you still have any doubts, don’t hesitate to contact me.

I'm not sure what my level is. How do I know a lesson is right for me?

Don’t worry at all—this is something many students feel. Each lesson is clearly labelled with a level (A1-C2), so you can easily choose the one that feels closest to you.

To make things even easier, in the class description you’ll also see the vocabulary and grammar we’re going to practice. You can take a look in advance or quickly review it before the lesson begins, so you know exactly what to expect.

Are the classes live and interactive, or are they pre-recorded lessons?

They are completely live and interactive. You’ll join a real-time class with me and a small group of students (maximum 5), so you can actively participate, speak, and interact throughout the lesson.

You’ll be speaking Spanish, asking questions, and getting feedback as we go.

How many students are in each group? Will I get enough speaking time?

Each group has a maximum of 5 students, so the classes stay small and personal. This is very intentional—I want everyone to have plenty of speaking time, not just listen.

You’ll be actively participating throughout the lesson and practising real communication as much as possible.

The goal is for you to feel comfortable speaking, because that’s what really helps you improve fluency.

Do you use your own materials or a textbook? Will I need to buy anything?

I use my own materials. Each lesson is based on a presentation I’ve prepared specifically for the topic and level, so you don’t need to buy any textbook or additional resources.

The materials are designed to be practical and conversation-focused, helping you speak more naturally and actively use the language during the lesson.

What types of topics and activities are included in the lessons?

We cover a wide variety of topics and exercises, depending on your level and the type of lesson.

For beginners, we focus on everyday and practical themes such as personal information, hobbies, food, daily routines, shopping, and travelling. The goal is to help you build confidence in basic real-life communication.

For intermediate and advanced levels (B1–C2), the topics become more varied and engaging, including debates, current events, experiences, opinions, languages, social issues, culture, and more complex conversations.

Can I choose which lessons I attend, or do I need to follow a fixed course?

You have full flexibility. Each class is published as an individual event, so you can book only the sessions that suit you. This way you can choose exactly the lessons you want to attend based on your level, interests, and availability.

How does the booking system work? How do I reserve a spot in a class?

Booking a class is very simple. All lessons are published as events on the website, and you’ll see a list of upcoming classes with their level, topic, date, and time. When you find a lesson you like, you just click on it and reserve your spot directly.

Since spots are limited (maximum 5 students per group), your place is confirmed immediately after payment.

You can pay securely by card or PayPal, and once the booking is completed, you’ll receive confirmation and all the details for joining the live class.

What is your cancellation policy if I can’t attend a lesson?

You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before the lesson starts. This gives you flexibility if something comes up. If you cancel in time, you’ll receive a full refund—no problem at all.

What happens if I arrive late or miss part of the class?

If you arrive late, you can still join the class, but keep in mind the lesson continues as scheduled, so you may miss part of the content or speaking practice. Unfortunately, missed time can’t be repeated.

What do I need to attend these online conversational Spanish lessons?

Very little. You just need a stable internet connection, a device (computer, tablet, or phone), a microphone, and a camera so you can fully participate in the class. Since these are live conversational lessons, being visible and engaged really helps create a more natural and interactive experience for everyone.

And most importantly—you just need good vibes and the motivation to improve your Spanish!

Will I receive feedback or corrections during the class?

Sure! I’ll give you suggestions and feedback as we go throughout the lesson, so you can keep improving naturally during the conversation.

I usually correct or guide you in a way that doesn’t interrupt the flow, so the speaking practice continues smoothly and you stay confident and engaged while talking.
